Originally from Washington, DC and educated at a private women’s college in
Maryland and both the University of Virginia and Oglethorpe University in Atlanta,
Bedelia von Paulhus began her career in the Temporary Personnel field in Atlanta and
then entered Permanent Placement in 1981 with Retail Recruiters receiving extensive
training involving the teachings of Tony Roberts This agency developed their client
base in fashion retail and fast food. It became immediately obvious there was no
money here, and she began developing a base in Culinary, specializing in Chef
Placement.

As an agent in the Food and Beverage Industry, she has had experience in both the
front and the back of the house which gives her an edge over the competition. Her
training for this career meant building her client base and learning the Club and Resort
field while working front and back of the house. With a background in marketing and
public relations in politics and business, she brings creative skills and a business mind,
necessary in cultivating the client base and a candidate network. It was a challenge with few companies specializing in culinary field and with hard work and dedication, she made it work – Confidence is 90% in winning.

I began helping Bedelia with her business, editing and publishing her newsletter, and working as her technical support person and marketing adviser while I worked on my degree from Appalachian State University. As I learned more and more about the professional culinary placement services Von Paulhus & Associates has provided clients over the years, it was a natural step for me to become an Administrative Associate.
